Dr. Curb is a Professor of Geriatric Medicine and Internal Medicine at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. He is also Chief of the Division of Clinical Epidemiology in the Department of Medicine. He was previously President and CEO of the PHRI and Associate Director for the National Institute on Aging at the National Institutes of Health. He is board certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine.

Dr. Curb has an extensive background in national, international clinical research, clinical trials, epidemiology, and health services research. He is internationally known for his work on heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and various conditions associated with aging.
