John Grove, Ph.D.
Dr. Grove has been an Investigator and statistical consultant in PHRI activities since 1977. His projects have included The Probability of Detecting Breast Cancer, the Honolulu Heart Program, Pacific Genetic Epidemiologic Study on Aging, Genetic Determinants of Hypertension, and Defining the Healthy Aging Phenotype. He is also a Professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences, John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii, Head of the Biostatistics Specialization, and a Member of the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii. Formerly, he was Project Biostatistician in the Japan-Hawaii Cancer Study, a sister study to the Honolulu Heart Program. He holds a Ph.D. in Genetics and maintains an interest in genetic epidemiology.
