Since its founding in 1960, almost 600 projects have been conducted by PHRI and its collaborative partners. Major research areas include clinical trials, health services research, clinical research, and genetics, with a focus on cancer, diabetes, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, neurodegenerative disorders, longevity, hypertension, and heart disease, among others.
