PHRI researchers conduct approximately 30 significant long-term research projects, with a combined annual budget of about $8 million.

The high quality of PHRI research is due to our outstanding scientists and a collaborative approach made possible by our position as a leading, independent research institute. Our independence provides an ideal setting for health researchers to step out of competing arenas and to collaborate in research areas of mutual interest. The synergies created through these partnerships facilitate interdisciplinary health research that could not easily be duplicated by a single research institute working alone.
